I purchased a Tapo C520WS Outdoor Pan/Tilt Security Wi-Fi Camera. Since the time of purchase, the camera has been defective.

 

The issue is:

The camera is unable to stay connected online for even one full day.

It frequently disconnects, making it unreliable for security purposes.

I have tested both Wi-Fi and LAN connections, but the problem persists.

This defeats the purpose of having a security camera, as it does not provide continuous monitoring.

I kindly request your support to provide a replacement or permanent solution at the earliest, as this is causing a serious inconvenience.

You can refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot if your camera keeps losing connection.
What should I do if my Tapo smart device keeps losing connection or going offline?
 

Please provide the following information if you would like to conduct further troubleshooting.


  1. What's the LED status on the camera when it loses connection? 
  2. What's the model number of your Wi-Fi router? Do you have a stable connection from the router?
  3. Is the camera connected to the Wi-Fi router directly rather than an AP/RE?
  4. How often does the disconnect behavior occur?

 

For warranty concerns, please contact your retailer or the local team to check if the camera is under warranty.
