The latest firmware of Tapo C260 make camera down and offline
I updated the firmware as notified by the app, and after that the camera shut down, I had to reset camera again! So annoying as the camera is very high installation! Anyone has problem with that?

@nam207 not me, but cat meow detection is not working anymore at all and plus every banging noise is detected as glass break, and if you are vacuuming you will get dozen notifications (glass break detected) 1.1.3 firmware

@nam207 Same thing, all C520WS down after update. Router reset, no change, offline.

Hi,
Typically, updating the camera's firmware will not cause it to shut down or display as offline in the Tapo app. If your camera is offline in the Tapo app after a firmware update, please try rebooting it and check if it will restore the internet connection.

@nam207 I think I have the same thing here. C520WS has been offline for >1hr after update. The camera is blinking green very quickly = should mean that it is still updating..... I wonder how many hours I should wait. Must be jammed.
What next?
Switch off/on power ?
Or should I factory reset before switching it off ?

Hi,
Your camera may fail to update its firmware. You can turn off the camera and then turn it back on to see if it's still working.
Refer to Q2 in the following instructions for troubleshooting if you fail to update the firmware.
