Hi,
Since I have not received similar feedback recently, and you have no other mobile device to test and compare, I think the reported phenomenon may not be limited to the camera or Tapo app, but may also be related to your tablet. To locate the issue, we suggest referring to this post to provide the relevant videos and app logs for further analysis.

As @SugarBaby stated here, the Tapo trail app is from TP-Link. It's secure and has the same features as the official Tapo app, except that debug log and log export functions are added, so don't worry about using it on your tablet.

Best Regards

@510530 it's official debugging tapo app for troubleshooting, they won't fix your problem if you won't send them logs.

Just download any screen recording app from Google play and record it then upload it to Google drive or YouTube, or any video hosting platform.

Screen recording will work with any android versions.

You can't attach videos in this forum, it's not supported.

I'm not jumping through anymore hoops to fix "the" problem.  I don't really GAF, thought Tapo might appreciate an opportunity to improve. And yes I did download a video to this forum.  When I clicked on link afterward the video played and a pop up of my email address appeared.

I'll add that I have two Tapo cameras and 6 other of their products on the same app. I don't want to go through setting up everything again by uninstalling app in an effort to solve this issue. Was kinda anticipating the response would be yeah we're aware of this, try this this and this.  I  apologize for my prickly attitude.

Hi,
Usually, uninstalling the Tapo app and reinstalling the Tapo trial app on your tablet does not require setting up your Tapo devices again. You can log in to the Tapo trial app with the TP-Link account that the Tapo devices are bound to (the one you used to log in to the Tapo app). You can then control your Tapo devices.
Please feel free to test as per this post if you are willing to continue troubleshooting.
Best Regards
