Smart Action notifications alert only when phone is active
I have a D210 doorbell connected to H200 Hub, together with a few C420 cameras. During the day, lots of people are walking in and out the door, so I put the cameras and doorbell in privacy mode. In Privacy mode, doorbell push notification is not working (another bug?), so I made a smart action:
When doorbell is pressed --> AND doorbell is in privacy mode --> send notification.
Now, this works well, except for the fact that the notifications are coming through only when I acvtivate my phone screen. This is not the case with other Tapo notifications, e.g. activity. Then the notifications get through immediately. Somehow, the type of notification of a smart action is different from an activity notification.
Phone is Android (Google Pixel 8)

Hi,
Typically, when the privacy mode is enabled, it's unable to receive the doorbell push notifications.
For the phenomenon where the automation notification is received only when the phone screen is active, please refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot.

Thanks for your reply Solla-topee!
I followed your tips to troubleshoot delayed notifications, but all settings are correct. I did reboot both my phone and the doorbell, but that didn't help.
Please note that all notifications from cameras (including the doorbell's camera) are working fine and are coming through immediately without delay when they detect movement.
This problem occurs only when a notification is sent from automation (smart action) as described in my post.
It seems that the Tapo app treats the notification from a smart action differently. They pop up as soon as I log in to my phone.

Update: when I leave my phone alone, the notification gets through after 35 minutes (without first logging into my phone).

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if you fail to receive the camera's notifications.
What to do if I can't receive notifications with the Tapo Cam or have a delayed notification
If you want to receive a ring call when someone presses the doorbell, on the camera's Device Settings > Doorbell > Doorbell Video Call page, please ensure the Ring Call option is selected, and the related permissions are allowed in your phone's Settings.
