Hi,
Typically, if you have set up the camera successfully, it will connect to the internet and then connect to our cloud server. Then you can control it remotely in the Tapo app. This does not require a subscription.

If you fail to control your camera remotely after configuration, please refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot.
