I have been running 2x C325WB's for year or so now and both have always recorded with the correct orientation without changes, yet recently 1x of the cams has randomly been inverting the image causing recordings to be flipped 180deg, I have to go into the settings and enable then disable the invert switch to fix the orientation again.  This applies for live view and recordings. Now unfortunately this now has been occurring enough times it's lead me here. 

 

Any thoughts on why I have been seeing this random invert issue on the same camera, im hoping it could be software related bug somewhere and not a HW fault which would mean RMA. 

 

Im open  to any suggestions,

  @Solla-topee apologies for the late reply, it seems there may have been an update recently as its been fine now well it was inverting randomly frequently but seems stable now..... If that's not the case as mentioned it hasn't reoccurred whatever the reason?  Maybe it was one of the client apps tripping it, that's more likely to have been updated more frequently.

Hi, 
The phenomenon you reported is weird. In this situation, please provide us with the following information for further analysis.
  1. Please send me (@Solla-topee) the camera's MAC address via a private message. You can find it in the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Device Info page.
 

  2. What's the model number and OS version of your phone? What's the Tapo app version?
  
  3. Please refer to the instructions below to collect the camera log for analysis.
      How to get the log of Tapo Camera 

 

  4. When the reported phenomenon occurs again, please send us the screenshots of the camera's live view page before and after you go to the camera's settings to turn the Invert Image option on and off. You can upload the screenshots to your cloud server (such as Google Drive) or YouTube, generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
