There is noticeable noise/interference in the audio recordings of my camera, especially when the environment is quiet. I purchased this camera to use as evidence against my neighbor, who makes loud and aggressive noise at night. However, because of the constant interference, unless there is a very loud sound, only static noise can be heard in quiet conditions.

 

I have read the topics on the website and also tried using the device away from electrical areas and within proper network coverage, but the problem still persists. Is there a troubleshooting process you can recommend?

You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot the reported phenomenon.

If the same phenomenon persists, you can provide the following information for further analysis.
  1. List the troubleshooting you did or the settings you have checked.
  2. Please send me (@Solla-topee) the camera's MAC address via a private message. You can find it in the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Device Info page.
  3. On the camera's Live View page, please record a video manually that shows the reported audio phenomenon, then download it to your phone and send it to us. You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive) or YouTube, generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
