C200 Missing Firmware Release Notes for UK camera models
Hello,
The UK pages of your site no longer provides information for some of the C200 UK camera models and NONE of the firmware release notes.
Please can you fix this.
In more detail, this page:
https://www.tapo.com/uk/product/smart-camera/tapo-c200/
now only lists v1.0 and v3.2 hardware.
You have removed v2.0 and v3.0 hardware versions - both of which were sold in the UK, and both of which were listed on that page previously.
Also, you have removed the details of ALL the C200 firmware updates (for all hardware versions), including the most recently released changes.
(Both v1.0 and v2.0 C200 cameras have had recent firmware updates)
You can still see what this information looked like on your French site:
https://www.tp-link.com/fr/support/download/tapo-c200/v1/#Firmware-Release-Notes
https://www.tp-link.com/fr/support/download/tapo-c200/v2/#Firmware-Release-Notes
https://www.tp-link.com/fr/support/download/tapo-c200/v3/#Firmware-Release-Notes
Please reinstate the missing C200 UK hardware versions and all of the firmware release notes.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback on the Tapo C200 on our Tapo and TP-Link websites. I will log it and forward it to the relevant team for updates.
Currently, the Tapo website does not have a product Firmware Release Notes section. We recommend checking the TP-Link website for this information. For example: https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/tapo-c200/v2/#Firmware-Release-Notes

Hello @Solla-topee
Thanks for the link to the UK TP-Link web-site.
Unfortunately, the information displayed there is incorrect.
Just today (March 27 2026) the V1 firmware list has been updated and now shows a very old firmware release (1.1.2) as being the most recent:
https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/tapo-c200/v1/#Firmware-Release-Notes
The previous V1 firmware release was version 1.3.17 (I have this installed on my V1 cameras).
Are you really reverting the firmware on the V1 hardware to version 1.1.2?
Is this being rolled out to customers?
I suspect someone has made a mistake, and published a very old firmware build in error.
You might want to investigate this as a matter or urgency!
Also, the firmware list for the V2 cameras is out of date on that UK site.
It doesn't include the most recent V2 firmware (which is also 1.3.17, and which I have installed on my V2 cameras).
Instead the UK web-site lists V2 1.3.16 firmware as being the most recent:
https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/tapo-c200/v2/#Firmware-Release-Notes
The French web-site DOES list the V2 1.3.17 firmware, but the release notes say only "Enhanced device stability and security", which isn't at all helpful.
I'm sure your developers must be able to provide a more meaningful description of the changes you have just rolled out to your customers.
So, could you find out exactly what was changed in the V2 1.3.17 firmware update, please?
(This was actually the question I came here hoping to have answered before I noticed all the other problems with your web-site!)
Thanks.

Hi,
1. The firmware v1.1.2 is a special version for some specific Tapo C200 V1, and your camera won't receive this version. Thank you for your feedback, and I'll forward this situation to the relevant team to evaluate whether to remove this version info.
2. For the request to update the Tapo C200 V2's firmware version info on the UK TP-Link website, I have forwarded it to the relevant team, but this needs some time; please wait patiently.
We do not have information about the detailed changes in V2 1.3.17. However, if you have a problem using the Tapo C200 V2, please provide the following information so we can better help you.
1) Please describe the phenomenon you are experiencing in detail.
2) If your camera keeps losing connection, you can refer to this instruction for troubleshooting: What if Tapo smart devices keep losing connection or going offline?
3) What troubleshooting did you do?
4) When did you purchase the camera?
Best Regards

Hello,
Sorry to piggy-back into this thread but I have a c200 v1 & I'm wondering if the "special version" firmware would help me.
My C200 is in a gradual retirement
(superseded by a newer model) where it now does little more than point at my router to monitor it. As such, some days it didn't record at all, other days I might get 1-3 recordings.
Starting at 09:17 this morning (7 April) it began recording pretty much continuously with nothing I could identify triggering it (motion only). I added person detection & it then started detecting people as well - who weren't there!
I reduced the detection area & it seems to have calmed down.
It's currently on firmware 1.3.17 (don't know when it updated) so I'm wondering if this update has caused the change in behaviour? It's in a cupboard with no passing traffic so I'm at a bit of a loss to understand the sudden detection increase - unless flashing lights/changes in lighting are now triggers?
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, if it is I'm sure that you'll deal with it. ![]()

Hi,
1. Your Tapo C200 uses the latest firmware (v1.3.17); the firmware (v1.1.2) can't be used on your camera.
2. For the reported phenomenon, it's recommended to start a new thread here for assistance. Usually, you can refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot if your camera falsely detects events.
What should I do if my Tapo camera triggers false detection?
Best Regards
