Hi.

I have three Tapo 230 cameras that I bought about two months ago. One of them constantly reports that the SD card isn’t working and needs to be formatted. I bought another SD card (a model listed as compatible on the website), but the issue persisted.

I eventually bought the H200 Hub so the camera could record there instead. The other cameras are recording fine, but this one is not. Even when there is motion, it detects it, tracks the subject, and everything, but nothing gets recorded.

I’m using this camera with Synology Surveillance, and it records normally there. What could be the issue? The others work fine.

Thank you,
Luiz

Hi,
For the reported phenomenon, please provide the following information for further analysis.

  1. What's the model number and capacity of the SD card inserted into the camera or hub? If you purchase it online, please send us a purchase link.

  2. Please refer to the instructions below to test the SD card with the third-party software H2testw, then send us a picture of the test results.

  3. You can refer to the instructions below to check if the storage settings are correct, and when the SD card is inserted into the H200, please ensure the Storage Location is selected Hub Storage.

Best Regards!
