Feb 2024 update
Hello everyone,
If the Tapo C310 camera got a firmware update failure, make sure you have tried to factory reset the camera with the camera powered on, check camera still responds to a factory reset, or if the camera still broadcasts the Tapo_Cam _XXX default SSID, or if the LED flashes amber and green.
If the camera responds to a factory reset and has a flashing amber and green light, you can refer to the instructions below to reconfigure the camera.
How to set up the Tapo camera?
If a factory reset does not help, you can try the suggestions in the thread below.
What to do if my Tapo Camera gets bricked after a firmware update?
If the above steps do not help, please contact the retailer or local support to check the device warranty.
When contacting local support or retailer, you may attach 1. the problem description with device model and hardware version 2. Led status on camera 3. if there was any power outage 4. the proof of purchase and S/N, so they could deal with your case faster.
Best Regards

@Jjjesie Hello,
Thank you for your feedback, may I know was there any power outage during firmware upgrade or did any Error pops up when you do firmware upgrade?
Please try factory reset again:
While the camera is powered on, tilt the camera lens up, then press and hold the RESET button for at least 5 seconds until the LED blinks red. The camera will reset and reboot.
If no voice from camera say " reset" please check if Tapo Camera is broadcasting WiFi or not.

Yes, apparently power stopped during firmware update. I followed your instructions to reset and reboot but no response🥺

@Jjjesie Hi there,
Sorry to hear about what happened, from your description the camera got a hardware failure due to the power interruption during firmware update.
As far as I know this kind of power outage will void the device warranty, but you could contact retailer or local support first to check device warranty.
Thank you for your understanding ~

I also would like to request this firmware update for recovery,
same problem with one C310 EU/1.0
Do not even know this was after a firmware update, the customer came back with it and it has same problem, he has a second C310 thats still working fine, so doubt it was power outage during firmware update.
thank you for sending the file,
Hans
