C310 playback skipping since fw uodate

Hi all, since the recent fw update, playback from sd card has gone haywire. x2 is fine but if I want to fast forward x4, 8 or 16 it skips huge chunks of content, up to 10 minutes of it in a matter of only three or four seconds.
Has anyone else experienced this, I can't format the card as I need to back up its contents to my home pc and I'm currently away for a while.

Here is a link to a small clip of playback timeline fast forwarding at x4 speed, it skips in increments of 3 minutes, before the fw update it skipped in increments of 4 seconds (I think). Now it is impossible to fine search cctv. x8 and x16 fast forward even faster and freeze after a few minutes. Rewinding is also messed up. Everything was fine until the most recent fw uldate, unfortunately I might have to buy a different camera if the problem.persists.
