Model: Tapo C520WS
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

All the FAQs related to SD cards specifically say that -

"Based on our lab test results, sorry to tell you that the Samsung (256 GB, EVO plus U3, V30, A2, SDXC1) are not supported by any Tapo cameras."

https://www.tp-link.com/in/support/faq/3048/

I am using Samsung Evo Plus 256 GB (A2/V30) with C520WS without any issues - Recording, streaming etc.

On the Tapo app, the card status shows as "Good".

Why does the FAQ mislead users?

Hi,
Based on our lab test results, these Samsung SD cards may not be reliable for long-term use in our cameras. I have received several reports of issues with these cards, including unexpected failures after a period of usage. Therefore, we do not recommend using these Samsung SD cards with our camera models.

Best Regards
