Model: Adapter
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

T3U on Windows 10 x64 only runs at USB 2.0 speeds.

The driver you have for Windows is bad. It runs at USB 2.0 speeds. I've tested it on several computers.

The kernel module I built for Linux Mint 19.3 x64 Cinnamon runs at the proper speed.

Same computer, different SSD's

Everything on the Windows 10 is up to date.

And yes it is plugged into a USB 3 port.

You need to release the proper Windows USB 3 driver, because the one you have listed isn't it, so it seems.

My router is a TP-Link Archer C1200

Well guess what, the driver from another company for their Wireless USB 3.0 that has the same chipset works as it should at the speeds it should. BrosTrend-wifi-adapter-driver-for-Windows-1030-31 Is the correct driver for the T3U Archer. TP-Link, release the correct driver please.

@Ramburner

Our Engineers will need more information to investigate.  We need to know what speeds you are getting when you are using the official driver, compared to when you are using a "chipset" driver.  Screenshots would be best.  Also we need to confrim that your adapter is the US version and you are running the published firmware.  The more information the better.

To be specific, this was the driver from your website, not the one on the CD. For my unit: Archer T3U(US) Ver. 1.8 I'm done here.

How did you get the other driver to install for the TP-Link adapter? I copied the driver files over to Windows/System32, and the adapter works, but the problem remains. Only using USB 2, not 3.
