Hi everyone

 

 I have an issue with the Archer AC5400x WAN port wired connection

 

If I set it to auto-negotiation the WAN port speed is set 100 Mbps and not to 1000 Mbps 

 

the Max speed from the computer is 45 Mbps download & 96 Mbps upload with the auto-negotiation setting, shouldn't that be 96 Mbps download but i digress

 

But if I try to set the WAN port to 1000 Mbps full duplex I lose the connection to the internet and if I reboot the router with the WAN port set to 1000 Mbps I am still disconnected

 

from the internet and rebooting the ONT doesn't help

 

 ISP Verizon Fios speed I have is 300 Mbps download & 300 Mbps upload verified by connecting the computer to the ONT without the router 

 

 the network card inside the computer is a intel Ethernet I210-T1 GbE NIC the speed & duplex setting is set to 1.0 Gbps full duplex

Hi Frank is Auto-negotiation is choosing the speed of 100 Mbps it could be that the wire is being detected as Cat 5 which is limited to 100 Mbps.  Have you confrimed the cable is Cat 5e or higher?  If so have you attempted to swap the cable.  Of course Is the router on the lastest firmware?
