Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version:

Ac1900

Hi ,

I recently bought router tplink Archer c80 1900mbps as my old router tplink archer c5 was having random disconnections and to improve speed . Usually when I download a file in my pc over smb using android samsung s10 solid file explorer with old router average speed will be 30 mega bytes per second when I am near router. I was hoping for a improvement with new c80 but shocking I got only 15 - 20 maps for same scenario. I tried 1dm to download file over internet still same result

 I disabled mimo, changed channel width, channel number,power transmission ,tried everything still performance was low for new router. Is my router piece defective or anything wrong in configuration. ( I use same wds wireless distribution configuration with jiofiber router for both devices. I have ordered c86 1900mbps hoping to fix issue. ). I bought c80 from Amazon india for 3200 rupees . I also saw ax23 and ax10 but they don't support wds AFAIK . Please also specify any other models with wds support . My budget is 5000. Also Are range extenders any good ? Can they provide above speed at stable rate within price range ?

  @Shyamsundar23

Here are the gigabit wireless routers wihich support WDS feature.

If you're after stability and speed I would suggest one of these in AP mode (Case 1).
