  @Joseph-TP My router is working perfectly with v 1.1.2 of the firmware: no reset was required.  
 

I'm not seeing a compelling reason to try the update again and spend even more of my time troubleshooting.
 

I just wanted you folks to know there was an issue with that version, and I'm apparently not the only one who experienced a problem with it.

This is where I am at too. A factory reset is expensive for the number of devices I'm running. At this point, I would rather go back to Netgear as I do not have the confidence you know how to test your firmware releases.

If you don't want to go through the reset-reconfigure process, you can downgrade to the previous 1.1.2 version as per Malacandra.

 

Download the 1.1.2 version from the website, unzip it, and then refer to this FAQ (Case 1) to upload it.

 

BTW, a new 1.1.4 version will be released soon to address the reported unintended behavior here.
