I just installed a Tapo C401 and unless the app is open the camera doesn't do anything; no notifications, no recordings, nothing.

 

Is there a setting I'm missing? Is this a network issue? Or did I just get a lemon?

Hi, 
It seems events can't wake up your camera. It's recommended to refer to Part 2 in the instructions below to troubleshoot.
What to do if the Detection feature is not working on the TP-Link Camera?
