Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 12.14 Build 20241223 Rel. 16551

My windows devices have been unable to receive a usable download speed when connected wirelessly or wired through ethernet. The upload is great and latency to servers is normal as well. When plugged directly into my modem I receive optimal speeds. A friend of mine connected to one of the deco devices with ethernet on his linux laptop and everything worked fine along with my cellphone, roku tv, and playstation.

Another weird thing is when testing my speeds on speedtest.net I get a decent download speed (100Mbps-160Mbps). My task manager also shows those speeds when I am testing it on that website. All other speed test sites don't even crack 1Mbps. When trying to download something in practice on Steam, Epic Games, or Microsoft Edge it either fails to download or is fluctuating between 50Kbps-1Mbps.

I have restarted the devices, had my ISP come to investigate, messaged a representative on the tp-link website, messaged windows IT and had them remotely control my computer to try and fix it twice, installed the latest driver for Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller, Messed with my security settings, Done a network reset on my PC, Etc.

Nothing has worked to make my or anyone else's windows devices receive proper download speeds.

I assume you had another router/Deco before in your home? Have you re-used the NETWORK name?

Possible some data from the old connection was 'held'?

If so, just FORGET that NETWORK connection in Settings for the Ethernet card.

======================

Head to Start, Settings, Network & Internet.
  1. Click Advanced network settings.
  2. Scroll down on the right side and click on Network reset.
  3. Click on Reset now to complete the reset and reboot.
  4. After reboot, all your network adapters will be reset to their factory settings.

======================

Then try connecting via the Ethernet connection (should be automatic on boot) and see if that helps? The fact you get the proper speed from your moden sort of indicates to me THAT connection is the one remembered and used.

Normal process when changing an Internet Connection, modem, router or deco, and PC is to bring them up in order so 'old' connections are flushed. Modem first, then the router/deco, and laslty the PC. This would connect each one to the proper device.

I already did this 3 times and it did not work. A recent advancement that I have made to work as a temporary fix is using a vpn. My friend loaned me his vpn account to see if that would change anything and now i consistently get anywhere between 300-500mbps when downloading something.
