DECO BE85 WAP Will Not Connect and Will Not Reset After New Router Install

DECO BE85 WAP Will Not Connect and Will Not Reset After New Router Install
2 weeks ago
Model: Deco BE85
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I switched out my router for a new router and now my three DECO BE85 wireless access points cannot find the Internet and after removing them and reset or each, I cannot add them to my new router. They will not factory reset (actually fully clear out like a factory new unit), and they get part way through new installs and then error out. Pressing the reset for 30+ seconds or even 2 minutes + does not rest the Deco units.

They do establish the new SSID, but there is no internet connection to them.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,
First, it's recommended that you remove your personal information (email address) from the original post.

Regarding the phenomenon you report, please try the following steps.
  1. Please ensure there is internet when connecting a PC to your new router. If not, please contact your router support for assistance.

  2. Power on the three Deco BE85, press the reset button on the Deco for 1 second to perform a factory reset. The LED on the Deco should flash blue after a reset. Then, turn off two Deco BE85 and only turn on one Deco.

  3. Connect the Deco to the new router via an Ethernet cable, then refer to the following instructions to configure the Deco: How to Set Up Your Deco

  4. If the main Deco is configured successfully, turn on the other two Deco nodes and add them to the existing Deco network. After that, set the Deco to AP mode and move it to the location they should be.

  5. If the main Deco is not configured successfully, please describe the step you get stuck on, and refer to the following instructions to troubleshoot: Main Deco Failed to Complete Setup

Best Regards
