Network Optimization never finishes - Solved
Edit - Per spectrum, these routers aren't going to work on their network. I wish that was the first answer I got.
They have an approved hardware list, and these are not on it.
I'm sure I completely screwed up the installation somehow, so this may just be a "start over from scratch" situation.
But currently, all three units are on, and they all seem to be staying connected without red lights, so that's a good sign.
I'm pretty sure I'm on the latest firmware, once I finally got them all to connect at once, the app said there was new firmware, which I installed. I'm pretty sure, I had to reset them all a few times and unplug and reconnect and delete and reconnect... what a nightmare, but as I said I think they're all on the latest firmware, and none of them are turningred randomly any more, and the app says they're up to date.
Trying to actually do anythiong through the web interface seems pointless, so I'm trying to do everything on my tablet using the app.
One of the features I stumbled on was the "Network Optimization"butoon.
I tapped on it, and it says "Optimizing Wi-Fi Interference...
The first time, it said wifi might be spotty while it runs, it turned off wifi, and then I ended up force closing it after about 10 minutes of nothing but the spinning radar circle.
After rebooting/resetting all three of them, checking to see if I still had green lights on everything, wifi came back on, and I tried it again, but it's been over an hour now with just a spinning radar-sweep circle.
Does it normally take this long, or is this something to do with using the satellites and the main one - customer service wasn't really very good at explaining how to set up a 3-pack, so maybe there's a step I'm missing or having multiple units doesn't work right... I have no idea..
And if I somehow clicked on a beta function that isn't actually tested on these, I apologize. This is my first time using a system like this, so I may just not understand something basic.
