Main router does not support oneMesh - RE300

I have brand new RE300 + AX1500, both with up-to-date firmware.
When trying to setup mesh in Tether app I get "The current main router does not support OneMesh. Visit... etc"
What to do? I bought the hardware specifically for this.

Model AX1500 the latest firmware already supports oneMesh, please confirm the firmware is up-to-date:

Please double-check the model number select correct hardware version before download firmware :https://www.tp-link.com/faq-46.html
If still the same, may I know the build number or firmware version of your router?

Archer AX10(EU)_V1_210420 EU version firmware added oneMesh in Build 210420, and it seems that router does not get that firmware push yet.
It is recommended to manually upgrade the firmware by uploading the bin. file

Note: please avoid disconnecting Wi-Fi /Ethernet cable and avoid power outage during firmware update.

the firmware that you link is not for my device (it refused to update). I think its because I have hardware version 1.2 - for which the latest update is Archer AX10(EU)_V1.2_210108 . I downloaded and installed this manually.
This did NOT solve my problem. So does it mean, that I have newer hardware, for which the firmware update has not yet been built?
btw. thanks for your swift care - even though I dont have the solution yet, I am glad we are working towards it :D.
