It doesn't appear to be effecting my WiFi, I have minor glitches with some iot devices but that's about it.  However I'd like to know why these log events are happening and what they mean.  My modem is working just fine, I've tested it and my cable isp is Optimum.  I've restarted the router, updated the firmware and it seems to be working ok.

  @Stevepauld,

The Deco XE75 I believe just received a firmware update, so this may have been a result of that. I will look into this to see if I can find more information, but given that this is only an INFO message, there is nothing to be concerned about. I would be inclined to believe that this would simply be the portion of the software that changes the lights on the Ethernet Ports when there is an active connection, either uploading or downloading. 

 

I was able to find a similar thread from our global community that had a user reporting these repeat log messages, however, these log messages were also accompanied by dropouts in connections. It ended up that there was a line issue that was causing the user problems and had to be fixed by their ISP. Can you check to make sure that these are the only errors in the log.

 

For now, as long as there are no issues with your connection and you do not see any other errors between the router or modem logs, I would recommend leaving your settings as is.
