Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2 Build 20221128 rel.45807(5553)

Firmware Version:
1.3.2 Build 20221128 rel.45807(5553)
Hardware Version:
Archer AX11000 v1.0

Wi-Fi connections work from phones, tablets, and Nintendo Switch.  When I plug my laptop (Windows 10) into LAN port, connection drops.  Same situation with Surface Pro tablet (Windows 10).

I tested the network cable, but swapped out just to make sure with a new one.

Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8

Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

Connections drop in the morning, middle of day, or night. Not really consistent other than consistently dropping.

I have both OFDMA and Smart Connect enabled.

I've tried different cables and different ports.

Could it be some configuration setting in the router? I really like the power of this router, and I don't even use all of its advanced settings.

Thought I would post here to see what others have to offer for me to check.

Thanks in advance!

  @ServerDude2017,

From what you mentioned and from what I can find on other forums, this behavior is from the windows side of things as their forums have many users that have this behavior. I would start with resetting your network adapters and installing the latest drivers for them. Also, make sure that your previous network is not in the list of known networks, and that there was not a static IP set on the PC. If there was a static IP, IP conflicts may have been causing the issue.

To me, it sounds like a reservation conflict. so you may also try setting an IP reservation on your router, and then setting the static IP of the windows PC to match the reservation. This would provide a guaranteed path for data, and may help diagnose what is causing the disconnections. If we know vaguely what to look at, we can see if there is a setting that would be causing the behavior

One last oddball thing to try, as another user had better luck connecting a Roku this way: try putting a network switch between the deco your LAN devices. The switch may be able to regulate the traffic so you can have a more stable connection.

Hi @ServerDude2017 and @Riley_S

Sorry for jumping in.

I would like to ask whether this LAN connection drop issue exists when the AX11000 ran the previous firmware or if it only occurs after you upgrade the router firmware to the latest 1.3.2 version.

And I do want to confirm if there is an issue with other wired client devices as Riley also suggests. If others are working just fine when connecting to the AX11000 with Ethernet cables, then I would agree with Riley that we may first troubleshoot with the network adapters and update the drivers to the latest, then observe if the connection will be stable.
