Why IPhones are not discoverable in the host client list. I'd like to enable parental controls on my kid iPhone but I can't see it in the host clients list.
By default, when an iphone connects to a wi-fi network, it will automatically enable "Private Addressing" for the network. This causes your iPhone to report a fake MAC address to the router so it cannot track your device, the MAC address will also change whenever the device reconnects to the network.
If you would like to monitor and manage the iPhone, you will need to turn off this setting on the iPhone, you may also observe what the device's real MAC address is from the iPhone settings.
