We usually manually block the kids devices at night at bed time and unblock them the next day. I usually block about 8 devices. Last night I went to block them and at 5 devices it said I had reached the maximum number of blocked devices. Tonight I went and did it and after I blocked only 2 it said I had reached the maximum number of blocked devices.  I also tried on a different phone that is part of the same network and get the same message.  Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Hi  @Myknock

Welcome to the community.

Are any of the kids' devices using randomly generated MAC addresses?

If so, this could explain why they appear as new, separate entries in the client list every time they connect.

Some devices, especially newer ones, automatically change their MAC address at regular intervals.

MAC addresses are often used to identify and block access to certain devices. However, if a device uses randomized MAC addresses, its previous MAC addresses might still be listed in the Block List, even though the device is currently using a different one.

As these devices keep changing their MAC addresses, more and more spots in the Block List will be taken up, leading to the issue you're seeing.

The first thing I would suggest is checking the settings on your kids' devices to see if any of them are configured to use randomized MAC addresses.

Additionally, I recommend verifying how many Block List rules are currently active and whether devices using randomized MAC addresses occupy numerous entries.

@Ryan okay I'll check.  The block list shows empty. Is there any way to clear these invisible Mac addresses?
