I am a homeShield subscriber .

I have my son's school chromebook and mac mini identified as devices in the child profile. 

In the child profile, if I put the following sites in blocked websites, it blocks him from accessing his school sites as well and other sites that require google authenticaion.

Blocked websites are you tube dot com and the one with world wide web dot you tube dot com. 

Somehow the forum wont' let me post with actual urls. 

If I remove these, the sites start to work. 

What is the use of the filter If I am putting specific domains still it blocks the google websites itself. 
Search query works, but no other link from search results can be clicked. 

Not that he should not be allowed you tube. However, there are certain times of the day when I do not want him to see you tube and instead be focused.
