Can a Smart Switch turn on a Smart Plug?
We want a Switch that is not physically wired to turn on an outlet but a Smart Plug would be fine as well.
Is this possible and how would I go about it?

You could always use Smart Actions to do this. You may configure the trigger setting to trigger when the smart switch is turned on/off. And then, set the Action to turn on the Smart Plug.
The issue would arrive when actually attempting to control the outlet, as the wiring of the switch will still require that the connection is
I would recommend taking a look at the Sub-Ghz line of products from Tapo, as they just released a Wireless Smart Button that will allow you to have a battery-operated button that can be used with smart triggers and actions to control Tapo devices.
