Reset Camera
I have a camera like C200 that unfortunately has become disconnected and I can no longer reset it. When I connect the camera to the power supply, four small red LEDs appear near the camera, but pressing the reset button does not make the green and red LED flash. What can I do?

Hi All,
If your camera only has the IR LEDs light up and the reset button does not work, you can try the following steps.
1. Ensure the reset operation is no problem.

2. Confirm your camera's hardware version(https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/46/), and refer to the troubleshooting steps in the link below to troubleshoot.

There seems to have been a software update that wiped out a fair few of the C200 cameras as i have had this issue asd well.
Customer support dont want to know, despite this problem being caused by TP link
I returned two other tappo cameras ( unopened and not used) back to the shop as my C200 has been bricked by TP link , and TP link supports response to this is " Apologize for any inconvience caused, and we can only suggest you purchase a new one on our authorized resellers. "
The odd thing was I was not the only one in there returning TP link cameras and according to the shop assistant quite a few of these tapo things have been returned lately as faulty.
and yet all support say is
" Apologize for any inconvience caused, and we can only suggest you purchase a new one on our authorized resellers. "
A firmware update that is relased to consumer, and installed using the consumer software ( ie the official app) should not result in a bricked device even if it fails , the device should be recoverable
The only reason why it could fail is if TP link have been negligent in someway and have failed to carry out adequate testing , as the old saying you break it, you fix it.
Butr TP link dont care and just isnist you buy a new one as a fix and issue this phrase
" Apologize for any inconvience caused, and we can only suggest you purchase a new one on our authorized resellers. "
as if.
