Does not rotate horizontally at night during IR function

during the day it's ok. At night, when it's day mode, I can rotate the camera vertically and horizontally. At night, when the mode is automatic and IR is on, I can move the camera vertically, but not horizontally. When I try to rotate to the right or left, the camera freezes and resets. What's the problem? I have an extension cord 10 meters from the power supply.

Hi,
It's suggested to connect the camera to the original power supply directly rather than using an extension cord, then check if you can pan & tilt the camera properly when it works in the Night mode.

@Solla-topee that solution makes no sense. The camera works during the day but not at night. What should changing the length of the power cord change anything?

Hi,
The problem may be related to the voltage changes in the home during the day and at night, so it is recommended to use the original power supply and power cord to do a test.
Best Regards

@Byron9959 same boat here but with a 20m extension cable. Did changing the cable work for you?

@sisimon dałem grubszy kabel przedłużacz 10m i działa na IR ok. Na cienkim się kamera resetowała podczas obrotu. Dałem inny grubszy i działa świetnie. Pozdrawiam

@Ezreal Well, I've been asked to disconnect the extension cable and use only the power cord supplied.
Support have told me that there is a lot more data generated/required to create and process images at night.
This got me thinking, when you consider the power requirements of the camera 20 meters is a long distance and could lead to a voltage drop and subsequent current loss; meaning the camera does not get the power it needs to drive the moto.
I haven't had time to try support's request. Meanwhile, I have bought a 12 volt DC power supply and a buck converter to step down from 12 volt to 9 volt. I'll use the 12 volt DC supply at the beginning of the 20 meter extension and put the buck converter between the end of the 20 meter extension and the connection of the camera. That will ensure the camera gets the required 9 volts.
