Why can't you access the camera's live feed on the Google Home App?
The Public Preview in Google Home offers currently in-development features for users who opt into the program.
The features added through this program will often have limited compatibility, require further updates before they are officially supported, or may break due to changes in the feature's implementation during development.

The "Access live streams for Works with Google cameras" feature is under the Public Preview program. It's still under development by Google and is not available for all cameras and brands.
Our teams are aware that the feature is currently not available for Tapo Cameras and are in close communication with Google regarding future compatibility.
We appreciate your patience as we await future updates from Google.

Wow. Spent hundreds on TP Link cameras to move from a different brand. Get them all set up to find the Google app not working. Did a search and find this thread. How long does it take to fix a compatibility issue? When I seen "works with Google" on the box, I assumed it actually worked with Google. How foolish of me. Guess I'll be returning all these cameras

@Solla-topee Google Home is frequently updated, and yesterday it got an important update that improved the interface and overall usage.
Sadly, the Tapo camera is still not showing up. I realize the Tapo app works, but the "Works with Google" certification is a major differentiating factor that was central to my pre-purchase assessment.
So, in light of everything, and particularly the fact that it hasn't worked for many months and the back-and-forth between you and Google, can you give us a definitive word on when this fix will happen?
If it will happen at all, of course.
Thank you very much for your help!

Indeed, yesterday the Google Home app received a very major update, and since then, the live feed for my Ring doorbell is working. However, the feeds for my TAPO cameras are still NOT functioning.
In addition to ClaudioLR's post, if there is no direct answer yet, could you please indicate what steps have been taken or what discussions have been held with Google? As customers, we are currently in the dark about whether any contact has been made at all, and whether a fix is even being worked on at TP-Link.
I hope to see a response to our messages. I've noticed that there are responses to other threads in the community, but on this particular topic, it remains suspiciously quiet, despite the multiple questions directed at @Solla-topee.

I guess I'm selling the C325WB and getting one of the refreshed Nest Outdoor Cameras (wired). I waited several months. The latest Google Home update was supposed to fix, but this is not Google. This is Tapo camera API integration with Google Home API. Maybe video codec needs to be updated on the camera firmware. Anyway, good luck.

With Google's latest announcement regarding Gemini for Home (https://developers.googleblog.com/en/gemini-for-home-expanding-the-platform-for-a-new-era-of-smart-home-ai/), will this mean that integration between Tapo cameras and Google Home be easier now? WalMart's ONN cameras are integrated, why can't Tapo cameras also be integrated?

I'm glad I found this thread, returning my C120 camera that just arrived today.
Wish I had found it BEFORE I ordered it.

I frequently receive Google Home updates, but this problem, which has been going on for almost 10 months, has never been resolved.
I keep reading on the first page of this thread: "Our teams are aware that the feature is currently not available for Tapo Cameras and are in close communication with Google regarding future compatibility."
But I purchased tapo camera certain of this compatibility, so why is it now only "potential"?
I understand it's a Google problem, but I think it's Tapo's duty to demand a solution. I don't understand how it's possible to wait so many months to make the cameras compatible again.
I am asking once again to @Solla-topee : is there any hope?
Reluctantly, if the situation is not resolved, I will be forced to change cameras when my Tapo Care subscription expires.
Thank you.
