Tapo C100 hardware version 5.0 versus 1.0

Model: Tapo C100
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.2.4

I have a Tapo C100, hardware version 5.0, which I'm very happy with. I actually bought two of them, but one is hardware version 1.0, and honestly that doesn't work for me: no person detection, can't connect it to my H200. I ordered another one recently from my distributor (Galaxus) and got another version 1.0. I'm going to return it, but here is my issue: I would happily buy another 3-4 of these cameras, but only if they have a hardware version that allows me to connect them to a hub + have some settings for detection (zones, person vs movement, etc).
Is there a way to determine what the hardware version is without actually having the camera in my hands, installing it, and checking in the app? If I can avoid a series of "order camera, try out camera, oh no it's not the right hardware version, return it" it would be nice.
Thanks!

Hi,
Please refer to the following guide for your consults.

  1. You can refer to the following FAQ to see which Tapo camera model and hardware version can work with your hub H200.
Tapo Smart Hub Compatible Camera List

  2. On our official website, you can search the camera's model number, go to its Overview page, select the hardware version, tap its Specifications page, and then you can see the supported detection types and if it supports activity zone.

Best Regards
