@David-TP Hi there, thanks for the reply.
It's more that I don't understand why some Deco models have this feature available and some don't. Fast roaming and beamforming seem like legacy features in comparison to OFDMA/Mu-Mimo and are typically options shown on older Deco devices. Other Deco devices that support OFDMA do get the toggle, so I don't see why the choice isn't available. It makes me question whether the Deco is working correctly.
Recently I upgraded my broadband speeds to 1gbps, and even in the same room as the main router Deco Mesh node, I hit closer to 600mbps. While drop off can be expected, the room is mostly empty. My other satellite nodes give me around 250mbps in speed, which has essentially meant my broadband speed upgrade is neglibible as 250mbps is the same speed I was getting before as that was my cap.
I did delete the network and start afresh after upgrading. Coverage and performance (speed capability aside) typically does not seem better than when I had Deco S4's. My network consists of 3 Deco XE75's, no other Deco units.
If other users can share their experiences too I'd be grateful for them. Thanks

Hi, thank you very much for the update.
There are only a few models that have an OFDMA/Mu-Mimo on/off toggle in the Deco App. Most Decos have OFDMA/Mu-MIMO enabled by default and can't be manually disabled.
I don't think missing this option has anything to do with the slow speed. Have you tested the Ethernet speed directly from the main Deco?
Do you have any 6GHz mobile devices?
It would be helpful if you could also check the wireless link speed on the mobile device when the internet download speed is about 600 Mbps.
How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client
Thanks a lot.
Best regards.

Hi @David-TP
I can confirm that the issue with the legacy Samsung Devices has been fixed.
I apologize for the delay.

@Nicosilva86 Hello, I would like to know what configuration you had to do so that you do not have problems or only with the update you stopped having problems?

For me downloading the latest beta patch fixed the speed and connection issues on my main network still some speed issues on the IoT network but only if you connect a Samsung device to the IoT network
Every other device seems to have zero speed issues on the IoT network

Hi @Sleater14
If you check my previous comments, after updating to beta (not the current beta, the previous one) all of my Samsung wifi 5 legacy devices started to have less than 1mb of bandwidth throughput.
After updating to the current beta, the issue was fixed.
My setup is: FTTH ONT as bridge, then 1 XE75 V2 as main router + gigabit TP-Link switch and 2 more Deco XE75 V2 fully wired backhaul with utp cat 6.
Wifi 6E devices are running almost at 95% of my gigabit connection, if I'm fiscally in the same room of the Deco unit.
If you need more details, let me know.
Thanks!

What a nice detailed summary. It was very appreciated when the community contributes with details like this.
In my case, I have problems with Samsung devices, but I notice these problems in the youtube application. When I'm watching shorts and sometimes in normal videos it takes a few seconds to start a video.
I want to emphasize that the DNS is from Google and even so I usually present this problem at certain times in the afternoon and night.
Also as mentioned before I thought it was the problem of the Internet operator but no, with the new Internet operator I also have that problem and I came to the conclusion that it is the Deco or a problem with the Samsung protocols.

Hi @Sleater14
In my case, I also tested replacing my ISP default DNS with Cloudflare DNS, both for IPv4 and IPv6:
IPv4:
1.1.1.1
1.0.0.1
IPv6:
2606:4700:4700::1111
2606:4700:4700::1001
I did notice better general responsiveness compared with my ISP default DNS, however, it's not perfect.
A few test that I would do:
- Try Cloudflare DNS instead of Google DNS, including IPv6 DNS if IPv6 is enabled.
- Compare YouTube behavior in the app vs browser.
- Test connected to the main Deco node and then to a satellite node, there maybe some glitch in backhaul. Sorry TP-Link, but XE75 is far from perfection.
- Check whether the Samsung device is on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz when the delay happens.
- If possible, test with IPv6 enabled and then disabled, just to compare startup time.
Another very useful test:
Download the app WARP from playstore and enabled your device. This app is free and literally tunnelize your connection, just to discard any routing glitches from your ISP.
If that improves it immediately, the issue could be more related to routing, DNS, IPv6 path selection, or traffic handling rather than pure Wi-Fi signal 😉
Since you already changed ISP and the behavior remains, I also think Deco firmware or client compatibility is a stronger suspect than the provider itself.
XE75 is my third generation of Deco units, and all of them has issues here and there.

Btw @Sleater14,
I checked your previous posts and I can see you have been dealing with this for quite a long time, so I know this is not a new issue for you.
One thing that still stands out to me is that your setup seems to rely on wireless backhaul. From what I have seen in other XE75/XE75 Pro reports, that can make these kinds of Samsung / YouTube issues harder to isolate, because it adds another possible point of instability between the main unit and the satellite.
So if you have not done it already, I would focus on one comparison only:
1) Test the same Samsung device, at the same time of day, on the main Deco first and then on a satellite Deco.
2) If the issue is clearly worse on the satellite, then wireless backhaul may be part of the problem.
3) I have also seen several XE75/XE75 Pro reports where firmware changes affected responsiveness, lag or throughput, so I would not rule out a Deco firmware/client compatibility issue either.
At this point, since you already changed ISP and the issue remained, I still think Deco handling is a stronger suspect than the provider.

Maybe @David-TP can also take a look at these related reports together, because this is starting to look less like an isolated ISP issue and more like a longer-standing XE75 / XE75 Pro client compatibility or backhaul-related behavior...
Thanks!

@Nicosilva86 Very kind for answering my answer. That's right, I've been with that problem for a long time. There are days when it goes well and others when it is a nuisance. My family reproaches me a lot for this and the truth is that it is quite tiring to hear "what's going on? Why is the Internet slow?" I have invested around 600 euros in these devices and I can no longer return them.
I will try some tests and keep you updated on my situation and evolution.
