Failed to connect to the 5GHz with T2U/T2UH after upgrading Windows 10 OS version
Hello,
It was brought to our attention by a number of customers of a failure to connect to 5GHz that happens after upgrading Windows OS. What will happen is devices are unable to connect to the 5GHz of the main router, while the 2.4GHz works fine.
If you are experiencing this issue, please get in contact with our technical support staff. They will be able to provide instructions to help update the driver of the network adapter to solve this.

@Kevin_Z I am also confused in this regard, but there are wiresless routers that are manufactured by TP Link and this is the main reason behind my research.
Moreover on the other side the TP links connectivity to the android devices also so powerful

Hi All.
I've experienced the same issue. Seems happened with a Windows update I couldn't identify.
My solution was to update manually the drivers in the device manager using the following drivers (latest, dated from 2018) from the Realtek web page:
https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/rtl8811au-software
Attached the drivers only for Windows 10, in case the link stops working.
After installing it T2U was able to find and connect to 5GHz network independent of the channel (tested on channel 165 40Mhz)

Hello everyone,
If your Wi-Fi network adapter can see 5Ghz Wi-Fi but not able to connect to the 5Ghz Wi-Fi band, here are some basic troubleshooting tips that you could give it a try:
1. Please make sure you have tried the latest TP-Link official driver for the adapter.

2. Confirm you have put in the correct 5Ghz Wi-Fi password
3. Delete Wi-Fi profile and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network

4. Try a different 5Ghz Wi-Fi channel on your router to 5Ghz Channel 36,40,44 or 48.
5. Confirm other network devices can connect to the same 5Ghz Wi-Fi when manually put in the 5Ghz Wi-Fi password
6. For some adapters, try this chipset driver for your TP-Link USB adapter Realtek Chipset Driver for Archer T2U(Nano/ Plus)/T3U(Nano/ Plus)/T4U(Plus)/T4UH/T9UH (Win7/Win10)

If you are unable to connect to the 5GHz network with your T2U/T2UH wireless adapter after upgrading to Windows 10, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

Make sure your wireless adapter drivers are up to date: Go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers for your T2U/T2UH wireless adapter. Install the drivers and try connecting to the 5GHz network again.
