Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.5 Build 200106 Rel.47114n(4555)

Hello,

i use Shinobi CCTV to manage my Cameras. So i buy this camera to move it via Shinobi, but it dont work. I cant move it via Shinobi or "iSpy" on Windows or "ONVIF Device Manager" on Windows. Is it possible to control the camera without the "Tapo Camera" - App? Can you tell me the urls to control it? Otherwise I have to send the camera back :( I hope you can help me quickly.

Thanks

@Patrik90

Hello, the Tapo cameras support the standard RTSP protocol and they can work with third-party software or applications.

Below is the instruction you can reference.

@Kevin_Z  this is your Standard answer. I see the picture of the cam in Shinobi, but I can't control the camera because of the missing control URLs. Is it possible to move the cam with get/put/Onvif? If yes, please tell me the URLs !

@Patrik90

I see;  we are sorry to tell you that the ONVIF software does not support PTZ yet, instead, we use the Tapo camera app to do it.

@Kevin_Z But it is possible, isn't it? How else does the app do it? Is a support planned in the near future ?

@Patrik90

As my knowledge, there is no plan to support it. For now, it is suggested to use the Tapo app to control the PTZ.

And we will forward your request to our product department and they will keep an eye on similar feedback and work on it.

Good day.

Registered to tell you I wanted to buy this camera but since it does not support PTZ through onvif I did not.

@Kevin_Z

Hi

Is there any update on the support for PTZ through onvif?

I bought the camera assuming it's supported just to find this thread. I really like the camera, but no PTZ is a deal breaker.

Thanks

@Kevin_Z

Hi Kevin,

some of you answers are really disappointed and sometimes they can offend the one who is urging to have a solution. I mean repeating the "solution" that is refused or obviously not acceptable at all, please don't do it again.

On two of your FAQ, you state you support standard RTSP and ONVIF protocol, but indeed you're not.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2680/

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2748/

If you indeed don't support it, just say you not, and please record this requirement and consider supporting it on next release. But please not only "considering"!
