Model: M7650
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.7

Hi. I've bought an M7650 today, however, when I try to use it it's almost impossible, because of the slow speeds. I don't know what I should do. Since it only connects to 3G and not 4G. Thanks in advance!

@BastiaanN

Hello,

Please try to reset the M7650 first:

With the Mobile Wi-Fi-powered on, use a pin to press and hold this button until “Power Off” appears on the screen to reset the Mobile Wi-Fi.

Then please create an APN profile as the instruction below:
https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/794/

Kindly note that the APN information including APN, Username, and password, etc. are provided by your ISP.

If you put the SIM card on your mobile phone, are you able to get the Internet?

When you insert the SIM card to your mobile phone, please open a hotspot on your mobile phone, then use other devices to connect the hotspot. At this time, are you able to get a normal speed?

If you still can't see the 3G on the screen, please send me a photo of the screenshot, thank you!

May it help and have a nice day!

@mohdadrian

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

Could you please help me check more details:

1. Can I have a picture of the status page when M7650 works on the 3G only?

2. If you go to Advanced>Dial-up>Network Settings>Network mode>4G only, would there be any error message, and what would happen to network type under status>connection status>network type?

3. Did this issue start just after you bought the M7650? Or it worked for a while, then stopped recently?

If possible, please also send a copy of the system log file to support.forum@tp-link.com.
