Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.4

Hi guys,

I bought this router to attach to my network but its  still just onemesh and as far as know I cannot use the same wifi name on it. Does anyone knows about when the tplink will release the easymesh for this router or if they will add the feature of add routers to the mesh networks to onemesh protocol?

I already asked to support but no answer till now.

@Julio_Camargo

Do you own 2 AX73 routers now?

I just learned that Onemesh is compatible with EasyMesh, so if you have an EasyMesh router, just try to connect them via WPS as described here by RoodRood. He has already built up the mesh network by combining the Onemesh and EasyMesh routers together.

Just a heads up, the new official firmware 1.3.5 Build 202309221.3.5 Build 20230922 for AX73 US V1 has been published, and you can get a direct link from the below:

https://static.tp-link.com/upload/firmware/2023/202311/20231113/Archer AX73(US)_V1_230922.zip

Please make sure your AX73 is linked to your TP-Link account successfully and try to check for the update.

There might be a delay for the local websites, you may check the website for this version later:

Hello, Archer AX73 is planned to support EasyMesh but we don't have too much information thus the time cannot be given now, it is recommended to pay attention to the new firmware for your router on either the router web interface or our official website.

In addition, here is the EasyMesh compatibility list for your reference: TP-Link EasyMesh Devices

By the way, for the router Wi-Fi name, you could always customize it on your own, no matter it is the same as another device or not.

  @Sunshine

Thanks for your reply.

You said that I could use the same wifi name. I tried without success. The devices have problems dealing with that in the convergence zone.

Regarding the AX73 upgrade with no due date. This is not serious. I'm upset with Tp link. I thought that would be released in a month or two not an year or ten.

Hi  @Liverpool20, thanks for your reply.

Nope, 1 AX73, 1C80 and two extensors only.

I tried and left my comments there: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/593722?replyId=1223694=1223694

In a few words, I could attach the C80 do AX73 one mesh network, it's a Frankenstein device now ;-) acting like an range extensor as the Ethernet backhaul is not working. I cannot access the C80 admin page (In fact that came to me right now that just tried over wifi, I will try the admin page over Ethernet) to get more details about how C80 is configured, anyway I will leave as is till the easymesh firmware be released.

Thanks again for your help.

You won't be allowed to access the admin portal once the C80 is been configured as a satellite router. It loses all management once done so.
