I struggled with finding 1.2.9 too! I found it on the US site, Canadian website didn't have it.

Thanks! I found it on US site. I'm in EU though and the US site warned me to use it... However, im 100% sure that this was the version (1.2.9) that i had earlier on my Decos.
So, I'm halfway through the firmware recovery tool process at the moment. Not the easiest so wish me luck :)

So I managed to downgrade my 2 Decos to previous version 1.2.9 (20240722). I downloaded the version from EN-site since SE (Sweden) didn't have that particular version..
Now everything is working again! Yay!
Here's the links for anyone who might need them:
Download your firmware here: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-x60/v3/#Firmware
Follow this guide to downgrade (method 2, http): https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2958/
Be patience when the Decos are booting back up after downgrade. Particularly the main Deco that needed internet cable to turn green. Satelite decos became green after couple minutes.
Here is a nice sheet for the LED color statuses: https://static.tp-link.com/upload/manual/2023/202311/20231121/7106509732_Deco%20Router%20(37%20Languages)_QIG_V1_2.4G%2b5GBand1&Band2%20(10).pdf

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
Deco X60_V4.2 doesn't share the same firmware bin file as Deco X60_V3. The latest firmware for Deco X60_V4.2 is still 1.2.9 and there will be a similar 1.3.0 version for V4.2 later.
I'm sorry that I didn't catch your feedback the first time. If later, you plan to install the 1.3.0 official version again, please save the system logs first if anything unusual happens before reverting to 1.2.9.
I will keep checking whether there might be similar feedback later.
Thanks again and best regards.

Hi David,
I'll summarize all the problems I know about here, will there be a solution for this soon? They're just minor things, but it's still annoying :)
- WiFi encryption changes to WPA2 by itself and WPA3 or WPA2/WPA3 can no longer be selected (happens very rarely)
- sometimes some devices from the guest network are listed in the offline list under the main network
- devices in the guest network jump between on- and offline in the list, but the devices are permanently connected (the connection is stable - no malfunction in the device)
- I tried to change the 5 GHz network to 80 MHz, but it stayed at 160 MHz (tested with WiFi Analyzer app)
- no push notification in android app about new devices in the network (notifications are allowed and it worked with the 1.2.5 firmware)
- no way to delete (old) reports
best regards
Paul

4) Changing 5Ghz channel width
For whatever reason, just selecting 80 Mhz and hitting save doesn't take immediate effect. However, if you restart your all deco system. It does 100% work. Using the same for last 7 days.

Hello and thanks for the answer.
I tried restarting the entire deco system several times, but 5 GHz is still at 160 MHz.
I just wanted to try to see if there will be a difference between 80 MHz and 160 MHz :)

No worries! Yes, I will try to install 1.3.0 on X60v3 again and I'll make sure to get the logs.
