Model: Tapo H200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.6 build 20240829 rel 71119

Yesterday I got a notification there was a firmware update available for my H200. It then auto-updated overnight.

This morning I noticed that my D230 doorbell had failed to record a person who came to the door.

The Tapo app popped up a message telling me to initialize the SD card (when looking atthe doorbell).

So I reformatted the SD card in the hub, and video recording is now OK.

But of course all previously stored recordings have been lost, along with those from the two C240 cameras.

Is this normal? Perhaps I should turn off auto-update of firmware?

Firmware upgrades will restart the device, and after the hub reboots, it will scan the entire SD card. If there are existing issues with the SD card, they will be detected at this time.

In such a situation, try to manually reboot the hub a few times to see if the prompt message disappears. If the problem persists, you may need to consider replacing the SD card, as this could lead to future issues such as interrupted video recording or the need for frequent resets, which can affect the camera's normal operation.
