Hi,
Typically, you can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if you can't control your device remotely.
What to do if I can't control my Tapo cameras on the Tapo app?

In your situation, please check:
  1. The LED status and color on your camera.
  2. Send me(@Solla-topee) the camera's MAC address via a private message.
  3. Check the Tapo app version installed on your phone and iPad. If the app on your iPhone is not the latest one, try to uninstall and reinstall the Tapo app.
  4. Are your phone and iPad connected to your home Wi-Fi?

Best Regards

@roger57 happened to me also, simple rebooting my device (ipad or iphone) usually does the trick. Hope this will also work for you.
