Any issues related to Deco X50-5G_V1, please make sure your firmware is up-to-date: Deco X50-5G-1.2.1 Official Now Available for Installation!


Firmware Modification:

  • Fixed the issue that the 5G network randomly dropped out, and a reboot was needed to restore the internet connection.
  • Improved overall network stability

  @077X Hi, thanks for your time and patience. After further confirmation with the engineers, you are right, and Archer NX210 and NX200 can't use the same firmwareblush.

They're helping us get the new firmware now. I'll update here once the version is ready.

  @David-TP After upgrading my NX220v2, the latency on my UK Vodafone mobile network went up by about 50%.  Maybe a coincidence, but it hasn't come down in the last 30 mins after upgrade. Anyone else experienced this?

Our experience (via testing the NX510v):

 

To solve the problem outlined in this topic, a firmware upgrade is not actually required.

 

The root cause is not unique to TP-Link. Many similar CPE devices show unstable behavior when operating in AUTO band selection mode, especially in 5G NSA configurations using multiple LTE anchor bands.

 

We found that the modem dropping/hanging issue disappears completely when switching to manual band selection. Specifically, by locking the device to a stable combination of one 5G band (e.g. N41) and one LTE anchor band (e.g. B1 or B3), we eliminated modem hangs, unexpected reboots, and nighttime freezes.

 

Recommendation:


Before considering any beta firmware, first try manual band locking.


Avoid AUTO mode — use manual band selection to improve stability.
