  @David-TP

Hello,

I have currently installed the Beta with the XLAT support on my Archer NX600 v2.0. But I'm facing the issue that after half a day or so my router completely loses all connection until a full reboot. Now I wanted to install this Beta to fix this issue. But it seems like the router is not installing it. In the attached screenshot, you can see that even after trying to install it, I'm still on build 250613.

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know who is your SIM carrier?

I'll follow up on your case via email to see if the engineer could help us get a new beta version.

At the same time, if the disconnection started again, before restarting the 5G router, could you please help me save the following details:

  • A picture of the Internet status when 5G dropped out.

  • A copy of the web UI system log.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Helpful info on the firmware updates. Stability fixes are always welcome since nothing is more frustrating than random drops on 5G. On a lighter side, I recently tried a fun moon phase test: that shows how your birth moon connects with your personality and relationships. Totally different from routers but a nice little break from debugging.

  @David-TP May I ask: how much better is the 5G modem in NX500 compared to BE65-5G?

I see the theoretical bandwidth is higher on the NX500. Does it have any other benefits when it comes to the 5G compared to the more expensive BE65-5G (which I know have other benefits vs NX500 such as Wi-Fi 7 support etc.)?

Hi,  Archer NX500 supports Sub-6 GHz NR 2CC with 200 MHz channel bandwidth, so its theoretical peak rate under the 5G SA network is 4.67 Gbps, a little higher than 3.4 Gbps on Deco BE65-5G(120MHz under 5G SA Network). Their expected 5G network performance in the lab test is almost comparable. The main difference still lies in the wireless specification, software features, and applicable scenarios.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP OK, thanks for the info! :)

But at least on paper 5G connection of the NX500 is better since it can use multiple 5G-bands simultaneously where BE65-5G can only use one?

I'm also thinking if it helps for stability and latency – more important than having max bandwidth in many cases.

But you say in the lab they perform about the same when it comes to these things, even when the NX500 can use more than one 5G-band? 🤔

Edit:

OK, David-TP gave more info and corrected me here – the BE65-5G can use Carrier Aggregation, i.e. aggregate two two NR bands (see more below).

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.

I updated the previous reply a little bit, and the maximum 5G bandwidth of NX500 is 200MHz, and for BE65-5G, it is 120MHz

If you refer to Carrier Aggregation, Deco BE65-5G is also capable of aggregating two NR bands.

The final 5G download speed on the mobile router is influenced by various factors, including the peak connection rate of the 5G router and the network infrastructure deployment of the Service Tower. I prefer to think that when the 5G peak rate surpasses what mobile ISPs typically offer, the final download speed is no longer constrained by the 5G mobile router alone. Whether the NX500 and Deco BE65-5G could provide a fast and stable connection.

Best regards.

  @David-TP
Aha, so the BE65-5G can use more than two bands simultaneously. Sorry, my limited research gave the impression that wasn't the case.
Thanks for the updated info!

  @David-TP I've got a NX210 v2 on 1.0.0 3.0.0 v60f3.0 Build 241115 Rel.69071n that needs a reboot every few days when the signal drops. Is there any update for this model? I see updates for the NX200 but not the 210. Thanks!
