Model: Tapo C320WS
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: default

I have tried everything to setup my C320WS with the android app. I have tried reset multiple times, different android devices. It keeps saying that the device was already configured.

it keeps blinking red and green but unable to setup.

I found the link to the .bin file of c320WS v1 here. (But I'm looking for v2) :

https://static.tp-link.com/upload/manual/2023/202312/20231204/Tapo%20cam%20Web%20Emergency%20Mode%20Instructions.pdf

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/604770 mentions that v1 does not have vehicle detection. The box advertises vehicle detection.

Hence I think I have v2, Can I get the equivalent firmware-flashing instructions for c320WS v2. I could only find for c320WS v1

Hi,
The instruction you found is not suitable for the Tapo C320WS V2. For the reported phenomenon, you can try the following instructions.

  1. Ensure the Tapo C320WS is removed from the Tapo app.
  2. Connect the camera to the router with an Ethernet cable, then try to add the camera to the Tapo app. If the Tapo app displays the message "the device was already configured" again, follow the guide to reset the camera, and then check if you can continue the setup process.
  3. If yes, after configuring the camera successfully, updating the Tapo camera's firmware to the latest one, and then trying to factory reset the camera. After that, disconnect the camera from the router.
  4. Try to configure the camera again and connect it to the router's Wi-Fi network.

Best Regards

I have tried reset multiple times with and without ethernet cable already.

It keeps saying that the device was already configured.

Hi,
In this situation, please ensure that your reset operation is correct (Usually, pressing the reset button for 10 seconds can perform a factory reset on the camera).
If yes, you can contact your retailer or our local team to check if the camera is under warranty.
Best Regards

  @akhilgeothom

Thank you. I have sent a mail to support with video that reset is being done correctly and there is no user error on my part.

It changes to blinking red-only for few seconds and then goes back to red-green blinking when I reset.

Hi,
In this situation, if the camera reports the same error message when you configure it, you can contact your retailer or our local team to check if the camera is under warranty.
