Deco XE75 V1 vs V3
Just a quick question.
I have had the V1s few years now and been very happy in WiFi router mode. I had a little dead spot in the far corner of the house so the son bought a 3 pack of V3s for $200AUD. Great price. I have hooked one up as the main router instead of the V1 which was being used thinking newer=better, but after a bit of reading found that the hardware in V1 might be better suited to being the router and not the newer V3. Info is pretty vague so my hunch is there will be no difference, but thought I'd ask

Hi, it is recommended to use V1 as the main Deco.
The current firmware version of V1 has introduced more features than V3(V3 will be supported later), such as
APP block/App Time Limits under the Advanced Parental Control subscription
Whitelist/ Wi-Fi Access Control
The last two features will need the support of all Deco units in the Mesh network.
Best regards.

Hi David, Just FYI I changed it around so a V1 XE75 is the main router and as soon as I added a V3 Matter support and the other features you mentioned all disappeared including Mu-Mimo ( which I believe is enabled now by default)

Hi, welcome to the community.
I/m afraid there hasn't been any clear news about this specific firmware. It is still on the plan but the engineers would prefer not to offer an ETA unless this version is around the corner.
Deco XE75 V2 and V3 Firmware update schedule should be consistent. I think it probably needs to be updated to the 1.4.x firmware.
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
Best regards.
