Beta Software Deco X50/X55_V1.3_1.3.1 Introduced Channel Selection, WiFi Access Control and WireGuard VPN

We’re excited to introduce a new firmware update for the Deco X50/X55_V1.30/V1.33, packed with powerful new features and enhancements designed to elevate your Deco Mesh Home Networking experience.

- Supported Channel Selection.
- Supported Internet Backup via Hotspot Backup and Hybrid-Mesh Backup Mode.
- Added DoH/DoT under Deco APP>More>Advanced.
- Supported 20MHz/40MHz automatic bandwidth selection to enhanced 2.4GHz WiFi performance.
- Supported WireGuard VPN Server/Client.
- Supported built-in easy configuration of NordVPN/Surfshark VPN.
***In compliance with local regulations, the Third-party VPN feature may be restricted to specific regions.
- Added client speed limit under clients' detailed setting page.
- Supported Fixing the WAN port under Deco APP>More>Advanced>WAN Port.
- Added Scene Priority under QOS.
- Added Client MAC Identification to improve the accuracy of device detection.

Update Notice:
- Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
- Please make sure the Deco APP is up-to-date.
- This firmware can’t be degraded directly to the previous 1.2.10 version.
- How to manually update the firmware via web UI.

I'm afraid there hasn't been updated news about whether or when EasyMesh will be added to Deco X50_V1.3.

Hi I'm new to this community and have been following the numerous requests for this model and hardware version. I just want to say thank you to the tp-link team and to the members who never gave up. I am on that list with you guys now, I've only had my device for a couple days and it's a massive improvement to what I previously had.

I'm experiencing issues with the VPN client feature. I configured a VPN with NordVPN and it gets stuck in connecting state. I've tried with both WireGuard and OpenVPN.

Channel selection (AUTO) does not work. Since this update the channel auto selected has been the same throughout. Even when I move around it remains on the auto selected channel. On my normal router the channels auto change at regular intervals.
So though manual channel selection works I don't think the auto selection does.

@Jackdm Channel will auto change after Deco reboots. You can use Reboot Schedule for the channels will automatically changed on daily basis.
