We’re excited to introduce a new firmware update for the Deco X50/X55_V1.30/V1.33, packed with powerful new features and enhancements designed to elevate your Deco Mesh Home Networking experience.

Modifications and Enhancements:
New Features
- Supported Channel Selection.
- Supported Internet Backup via Hotspot Backup and Hybrid-Mesh Backup Mode.
- Added DoH/DoT under Deco APP>More>Advanced.
- Supported 20MHz/40MHz automatic bandwidth selection to enhanced 2.4GHz WiFi performance.
- Supported WireGuard VPN Server/Client.
- Supported built-in easy configuration of NordVPN/Surfshark VPN.
***In compliance with local regulations, the Third-party VPN feature may be restricted to specific regions.
- Added client speed limit under clients' detailed setting page.
- Supported Fixing the WAN port under Deco APP>More>Advanced>WAN Port.
- Added Scene Priority under QOS.
- Added Client MAC Identification to improve the accuracy of device detection.

Update Notice:
- Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
- Please make sure the Deco APP is up-to-date.
- This firmware can’t be degraded directly to the previous 1.2.10 version.

Hi David, the ticket I opened was closed by the agent informing me that I should downgrade the firmware to fix the issue.
Hopefully there's another way for you to help me, since downgrading the firmware wouldn't accomplish anything especially considering the older firmware doesn't even have channel selecition.

They sent instructions that said to use the web interface to upload the older firmware. It was a Brazilian support agent, I sent a negative feedback stating that downgrading wouldn't fix my issue.

@David-TP I have both X55 and X50 mesh nodes here in Australia. Hardware version 1.3 in both cases.
The X55 got an upgrade notification and that all went well. It now runs firmware 1.3.1.
The X50 is virtually identifical but it's had no firmware notification and is still on 1.2.1.
Whoever is responsible for pushing out firmware updates to Australia is really doing a poor job. I've recently posted about my X73, which is still waiting for a firmware update written 4 months ago in September 2025.
