You can try the following steps and confirm the related information for further analysis.

  1. Please ensure the Tapo app is the latest one. If not, please uninstall it and reinstall the newest version for a try.

  2. Please reboot the camera and check if it helps.

  3. What's the model number and OS version of your phone? Please go to the Tapo app > Me > About page to check the app version info.

  4. If you download a cloud video clip and play it in the Tapo app, does the same phenomenon occur?

  5. Would you please send us a video showing the reported phenomenon, and a video showing that the recording stored on the SD card is playing well?
You can upload the videos to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
