  @David-TP Hi there, thanks for the reply.

It's more that I don't understand why some Deco models have this feature available and some don't. Fast roaming and beamforming seem like legacy features in comparison to OFDMA/Mu-Mimo and are typically options shown on older Deco devices. Other Deco devices that support OFDMA do get the toggle, so I don't see why the choice isn't available. It makes me question whether the Deco is working correctly.

Recently I upgraded my broadband speeds to 1gbps, and even in the same room as the main router Deco Mesh node, I hit closer to 600mbps. While drop off can be expected, the room is mostly empty. My other satellite nodes give me around 250mbps in speed, which has essentially meant my broadband speed upgrade is neglibible as 250mbps is the same speed I was getting before as that was my cap.

I did delete the network and start afresh after upgrading. Coverage and performance (speed capability aside) typically does not seem better than when I had Deco S4's. My network consists of 3 Deco XE75's, no other Deco units.

If other users can share their experiences too I'd be grateful for them. Thanks

  @EyeloMilo

Hi, thank you very much for the update.

There are only a few models that have an OFDMA/Mu-Mimo on/off toggle in the Deco App. Most Decos have OFDMA/Mu-MIMO enabled by default and can't be manually disabled.

I don't think missing this option has anything to do with the slow speed. Have you tested the Ethernet speed directly from the main Deco?

Do you have any 6GHz mobile devices?

It would be helpful if you could also check the wireless link speed on the mobile device when the internet download speed is about 600 Mbps.

How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.
