Before the Upgrade
(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the pre-release firmware!
(2) For the sake of insurance, it's always recommended to save a copy of the router's Backup Config file before upgrading or downgrading.
(3) This pre-release firmware for Archer GE550/GE650 V1 is available for all versions.
(4) You may follow the guide to upgrade the firmware of your router. How to Upgrade the Firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers.
(5)Important Note:
For non-EU version: Downgrading to a previous firmware version is not recommended, as it is highly likely to trigger a factory reset, requiring you to reconfigure your settings.
For the EU version: If you have previously updated to version 1.3.0 Beta Firmware(see here), you can retain the firmware, as the new features and optimizations have already been incorporated. If you update to the currently released 1.2.2 Pre-Release Firmware, you should be able to downgrade to version 1.2.1.

Hello @STARTEKSELVA ,
The main differences between EU and NON-EU (US) versions of Wi-Fi routers like the GE650 V1 typically involve the following:
1. Wi-Fi Regulatory Domains: The US version follows FCC regulations, while the EU version follows CE regulations. This affects available Wi-Fi channels and maximum transmit power levels. The US version generally allows higher transmit power and more 5GHz channels compared to the EU version.
2. 6GHz Band: The GE650 V1 supports the 6GHz band. In the US, the 6GHz band supports both standard power (with AFC) and low-power indoor operation. The EU version has different 6GHz power restrictions. Since India's 6GHz spectrum regulations are still evolving and the band is not yet officially opened for public use in India, the 6GHz radio on your US unit may not be legally usable in India regardless of version.
3. Power Adapter: The US version comes with a 110V plug (Type A), while India uses 230V (Type D/C). You will need a suitable power adapter or converter to safely use the device in India.
4. Firmware & Support: The US version may receive firmware updates on a different schedule and may not be officially supported by TP-Link India, which could affect warranty and local technical support.
