Model: KL130
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.11

I have several Kasa bulbs in the house. I have 4 KL130 in my office. I also have a KL130 in the kitchen. I have them set to circadian mode most of the time. Recently. I have found that if I set them to circadian that the connection sort of breaks. I can run another scene with a different setting and then the bulbs respond again.

I've tried resetting bulbs several times to factory settings and from different power sources. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Kasa app. I've tried deleting and recreating the circadian scene. Even if I put the bulb(s) in circadian mode then it just stops working. I have tried this on all of them. It is just this mode that seems to make them unresponsive.

I think there is a bug in the firmware.

@pinkeye Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

We have received some feedback that when set KL130 to Circadian mode, KL130 cannot be properly controlled by Kasa /Google home/Alexa app.

And here is a beta firmware for this issue, please give it a try:

Products influenced

Download link:

https://static.tp-link.com/beta/2021/202103/20210323/Upgrade_Instruction_KL130_V2_fix_circadian_issue.zip

Note: There is a Word file in the folder with detailed instructions. Please save the downloaded file to the desktop, unzip and open it on the desktop.

Please use a windows computer whenever possible.

Please feel free to let us know if this Beta firmware works or not, thank you~

@Solla-topee

Hello,

Thanks for the beta firmware update. This seemed to have fixed the bulbs. I was able to run it on my old iMac on 10.13.6 High Sierra. The file wouldn't open for me for some reason on the latest Big Sur.

All bulbs seem to turn off and on after selecting the circadian mode now.
