It is recommended to factory reset camera to clear the old settings on camera, then set Alarm Type to Sound and observe the behavior.
Enable Two-step Verification for your account so you could see what mobile device have logged in.
If this happened again, please reproduce the issue and help collect the camera log, please also help take a photo showing the Alarm settings changed with the time.
